About Intervention New York
Who we are, and what we are not
Intervention New York is a small practice, not a call center and not a treatment facility. When you call, you speak with a certified interventionist — not a sales desk, and not someone whose job is to route you to whoever is paying for leads this month.
We are a service-area business based in Mahopac. We help families across NYC, Westchester, Long Island and the Hudson Valley, and upstate by written quote, plan and hold a structured conversation with someone they love.
$2,750 local package: family preparation, intervention planning, treatment placement assistance, admissions coordination, and twelve months of family coaching afterward. Sober escort, travel outside our local service area, and treatment program costs are separate.
We help you understand what your health plan covers for treatment. The intervention fee itself is paid privately and is not billed to insurance.
What we do
- Plan and facilitate family interventions across NYC, Westchester, Long Island and the Hudson Valley, and upstate by written quote. What a professional interventionist does.
- Prepare the family — what to say, what not to say, and who should be in the room.
- Identify and confirm an appropriate treatment program before the conversation happens.
- Sober escort available (priced separately; see /sober-escort).
- Coach the family for twelve months afterward, because that is when most of the work is.
- Tell you plainly when an intervention is not the right next step.
What we are not
- We are not a medical provider, hospital, detox or treatment facility.
- We do not diagnose, prescribe, or give medical advice of any kind.
- We do not promise outcomes. Nobody honest can.
- We do not run retargeting ads, sell your information, or add you to marketing sequences.
- We do not ask you for details about your loved one before you are ready to give them.
The person you speak with is the person in the room.
We are a small, deliberately unscaled practice. There is no call center and no handoff to a junior associate. Christopher and Benjamin founded Intervention New York to bring families the same hands-on guidance they wish more families had access to.

Certification and membership, kept separate
These are two different things, and they are routinely presented as one. A certification is a credential an individual earns. A membership is an organization you join. We hold both, and we set them out separately so neither borrows authority from the other.
NCACIP (Nationally Certified Advanced Clinical Intervention Professional), a private certification issued by The Addictions Academy. New York does not license the title 'interventionist'.
Benjamin Zohar and Christopher Veto each hold this credential individually. It is theirs, not the practice’s, and it is not granted by either organization listed opposite. New York State does not license or register interventionists, so there is no state register to check it against — we would rather say that plainly than point you at a page that does not prove what it appears to prove.
