Benjamin Zohar
Benjamin Zohar, NCACIP, is a supporting co-founder whose work focuses on treatment navigation, help checking treatment benefits (the intervention fee is paid privately and never billed to insurance), placement coordination, intervention preparation and recovery education. He helps families understand available treatment options, organize next steps and coordinate care alongside the intervention team.

Background
NCACIP (Nationally Certified Advanced Clinical Intervention Professional), a private certification issued by The Addictions Academy. New York does not license the title 'interventionist'.
Benjamin holds the Nationally Certified Advanced Clinical Intervention Professional (NCACIP) credential and has published educational work through ISSUP on addiction, emerging substance-use risks and treatment navigation. His role supports the practice's family-facing intervention work while Christopher Veto leads as the primary interventionist.
He holds the Nationally Certified Advanced Clinical Intervention Professional (NCACIP) certification individually. That is a certification he earned, not a company badge, and it is separate from Intervention NY’s NAADAC organizational membership.
Most of his work is the unglamorous part of an intervention: the preparation calls where a family finally says out loud what it has been avoiding, the phone calls with carriers and admissions staff that decide whether a yes on the day has anywhere to go that afternoon, and coordinating the logistics of treatment placement.
Benjamin writes and reviews the service, cost, process and location pages on this site, and co-wrote the guide on what defines a professional interventionist in New York.

What Benjamin is not qualified to do
- I am not a physician, psychiatrist, psychologist or licensed clinical therapist. I do not diagnose, and I do not prescribe.
- I do not provide treatment. Clinical care is delivered by the licensed program, and my involvement with your relative largely ends at the point of admission.
- I do not give legal advice, and I will not take part in moving an adult who has not consented to go.
- I will not quote you a success rate as though it were audited data, and I will not tell you an intervention is the right step when I do not think it is.
Intervention NY is not a treatment facility, detox or medical provider. In an emergency call 911; for free 24/7 support call or text 988.
